Port Said (Carl Gustav M/45 Swedish K) machine gun assembled on a Wilson registered receiver tube with Wilson name and address on the left side of the tube. One can discern Port Said serial number on the top of shroud underneath the paint. Nylon sling and four original “SA” marked lustrous blued finish 36 round magazines are included. This very effective and popular model was manufactured with a detachable magazine housing which enables this gun to use either the standard 36 round magazines or the 50 round “coffin” magazines. There is a separate lot with a Soumi drum and coffin magazines in this same auction. The M-45 was developed WW II, but final development and adoption was at the end of the war and hence, the end-product was manufactured under “peacetime” conditions and therefore is of the highest quality fit and finish. Full-automatic only operation with slotted receiver tube cut-out for bolt to be held to the rear as on the MP-40, side-folding wire-loop shoulder brace with a rubber tubing to provide comfort to the firer much like the Madsen, and charging handle which doubles as a forward bolt lock in the manner of the Austen and other designs. Electronic NFA registry indicates “WILSON,JAMES DBA WILSON ARMS CO” as the manufacturer with “L2A3” in the model block. CONDITION: Beautiful green painted refinish upon remanufacture with Arabic writing visible under the paint on the left lower. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a fully automatic only machine gun. The Port Said and Swedish M/45 (Swedish K) are essentially the same gun. Normally one finds the finish on the Port Said guns to be inferior to the Swedish guns, but that is NOT the case here.
