These MPi-69 submachine guns were designed by Steyr in the late 1960s, and first offered for public sale in 1969 with production ending in the 1990s. Marked "STEYR-DAIMLER-PUCH A.G./ MADE IN AUSTRIA" followed by the Steyr logo and an "L.E.S." import marking on the top of the receiver. Visible numbers are matching, including the bolt. This gun has the later style Mpi-81 type, conventional charging handle, but both serial number and lack of optic mounting disks indicate this is an MPi-69. One original magazine and one green web sling is included with this lot. Electronic NFA registry indicates “IMPORTED NFA FIREARM” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original dull gray finish with near excellent furnishings. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Furnishing show some very light handling marks. This is a full-auto-only machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS TRANSFERABLE ONLY TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 BUT MAY BE RETAINED BY SOLE PROPRIETOR FFL/SOT HOLDERS WHEN THEY RELINQUISH THEIR LICENSES UPON BATF APPROVAL.
