Beautiful lustrous blue finish Harrington and Richardson Reising Model 50 machine gun with 28 fin barrel and compensator. Three original 20 round lustrous blue finish magazines, and one higher capacity magazine reworked from two original magazines are include with this lot. A wood fitted well-made transport case is also included with this gun. There is a California Highway Patrol property sticker on the bottom of the stock to the rear of the magazine well. The stock has been fitted with sling swivels on the right side. This commercial finished Reising is about as attractive as these ever get. This was not a WW2 combat gun, although the Model 50 was fielded in limited numbers to the Marine corps during WW2. Firing from a closed bolt gave an advantage to the firer over the Thompson, which fires from an open bolt. Electronic NFA Registry indicates, “HARRINGTON AND RICHARDSON” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original lustrous blue refinish on the gun. Wood is extremely attractive with a rich brown color, with very light handling marks. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. Wood transit box is extremely fine with brass hooks and handle, and small brass plate indicating it was the property of the Department of Motor Vehicles . This gun presents exceptionally well. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2025-05-051.
