Very well accessorized American 180 machine gun in original box, with eleven original plastic pan magazines, one steel magazine with driving mechanism, two loading trays, one loading stand, two additional driving mechanisms, one picatinny rail (new in wrapper), spare barrel with composite vertical forend, original owner’s manual and loading tray instructions, and a complete near mint wooden furnishings set (buttstock, pistol grip, and both vertical and horizontal forends) in black canvas carrier. The gun itself has composite furnishings, including a horizontal forend. This gun utilizes a neat magazine system which incorporates a detachable hand-wound spring device to rotate the drum on a steel plate which brings the rounds within the magazine in-line to feed into the gun. When these are fired, the sound has been likened to that of a sewing machine, with the spray of bullets likened to “a swarm or angry bees”. The sights are at a high profile in order to be above the pan magazine when it is emplaced on the gun. There is a knurled knob at the underside of the receiver which allows for the removal of the barrel. This is a nice feature as it allows this gun to be disassembled for ease of transport in a very compact package as wells as making the parts more accessible for cleaning. Cocking handle is on the left side, safety on the right side. Selector switch is a push-button reminiscent of the MP43/MP44. This was manufactured in Salt lake City, Utah, and is so marked on the underside of the receiver. Electronic NFA registry indicates “AMERICAN ARMS INTERNATIONAL INC” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is a near excellent deep lustrous blued finish on barrel and black anodized finish on the aluminum parts with black hardcoat on upper part of the receiver. There is some loss of finish on the shorter barrel giving it a case hardened appearance. Bores of both barrels are near excellent, shiny and bright. Magazines and winders near excellent; several never have been opened. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. A very popular recreational machine gun with plenty of accessories, just as we like to find them. One of the best .22 LR machine guns. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2025-05-037.
