American Research and Development marked on underside flats of receiver, with M2 model marking and address. Primarily made of aluminum, this gun comes with both a vertical foregrip un-ribbed barrel and a horizontal foregrip barrel. It incorporates many features found on the popular Thompson machine gun including detachable buttstock. Rear sight is very reminiscent of the U.S. 30 carbine. There is a sliding catch which holds the included pan magazine and winder/drive mechanism in place. A knurled knob retains the barrel and fore grip assembly and removing them allows this gun to become a nice compact package for transport. Cocking handle is on the left side, safety on the right side. Sights are quite high as a consequence of having its rotating pan mag on top of the receiver reminiscent of the Russian DP-28. Magazine system utilizes a hand-wound spring device to rotate the drum on a steel plate which brings the rounds within the mag in-line to feed into the gun. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent deep lustrous blued finish on barrels with black anodization on aluminum parts. Feed-way block shows some light use. Wood has some light handling marks. Mechanics are fine. Bores of both barrels are near excellent, shiny and bright. Some slight frosting on the one outer edge of horizonal foregrip barrel on left side. Original steel magazine in extremely fine condition, as is driving mechanism. This is a select-fire machine gun. A very popular recreational machine gun with plentiful and relatively inexpensive ammo. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2019-10-147
