Plainfield manufactured select fire .30 carbine with attractive wooden stock with wire loop shoulder extension. Includes one 30 round magazine. This is a registered receiver machine gun with vertical wooden foregrip, and ventilated barrel handguard. Receiver serial number is the only visible serial number. The .30 carbine cartridge gained great popularity as a recreation shooting cartridge after WW2 and fueled by surplus carbine sales to civilians there was sufficient demand for Plainfield to assemble guns for civilian sales to include fully automatic guns such as this one. It is loads of fun at machine gun shoots and sub-gun matches. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent lustrous blue original finish with some wear to grey patina on the round bolt and a little bit of corrosion to the left side of the adjustable rear sight. Magazine also has a few flecks of corrosion. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face also extremely fine. A great, handy bullet projector.
