A beautiful Colt M16A1 machine gun with chrome lined bore for the civilian market. Typical Colt logo and address on left side of receiver. Classic configuration with bayonet lug, triangular handguards, bolt forward assist, sling swivels, and buttstock trap. One Colt 20 round magazine is included. These guns have always been in demand for civilian ownership as so many former serviceman are familiar with these highly accurate and fun-to-shoot guns. It is indeed fortunate for the collector market that these were registered and sold when they could be. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent original finish with loss of finish at a couple high edge points and a few handling marks to the composite furnishings. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent mirror bright. Bolt is also near excellent. Just a great classic in a condition which can occasionally be taken to the range and enjoyed without impacting the value.
