NEW ENGLAND GRAIN-PAINTED TALL CASE CLOCK. Circa 1820. The clock has a 30-hour time-and-strike movement with wooden dial with subsidiary seconds dial. The Hepplewhite pine case with fanciful grain-painted decoration in earth tones to simulate figured wood. The case features an arched bonnet with three gold painted finials on grain painted plinths, a rectangular pendulum door and a scrolled base. SIZE: 86" h x 20-1/4" w x 11" d. CONDITION: Paint on case in good condition with minor abrasions, flaking and wear. The dial has some loss and lifting to painted surface.
