GILT BRONZE BUDDHIST BOX AND COVER WITH LARGE JADE INLAY.20th century, China. 4-charfacter Qianlong mark. Oval form. Repousse Ju-i gilt copper with a decoration of lotus scrolls and dragon carp. Top inset with celadon and russet carved and pierced jade plaque with a design of a dragon and cloud. The plaque is bordered with a row of turquoise cabochons. Base engraved with a pair of dragons. SIZE: 6" x 5" x 1-1/4" h. CONDITION: Minor wear due to age. Jade appears good. 49073-34 JFC (5,000-7,000)
