This gun appears to be an original US Model 1842 single shot military pistol, which has had the original markings removed and Palmetto Armory markings applied to the barrel and lockplate. Standard configuration. No cartouche on stock. CONDITION: All metal surfaces have been cleaned with areas of light pitting. Markings are sharp and clear. Wood has some dings and handling marks. Brass has a pleasing patina. Hammer does not hold at full cock. GR
