M PROST (French, 1894-1967) PANTHER MARCHANT BRONZE. PROST M Prost bronze sculpture of a walking panther. The bronze panther is finished in a black patina and rests on a sloping black stone base. Signed on the side of the base "M. Prost" on one side and "Susse Fres Edit RS Paris" on the other. SIZE: 14-1/2" l x 7-1/2" t. PROVENANCE: From an Unreserved Chicago collection. CONDITION: There is some minor wear and some light scratches to the patina on the panther and some small chips and roughness to the edges of the base. 52647-3 DAB (8,000-10,000)
