TIFFANY STUDIOS DRAGONFLY TABLE LAMP. TIFFANY STUDIOS DROGONFLY 1495 ROOKWOOD Tiffany Studios table lamp has dragonfly cone shaped shade, each dragonfly has striated red glass wings with mottled amber glass bodies and eyes of amber glass cabochon jewels. The dragonflies rest against a mottled green and amber glass dichroic background, which is further decorated with green, blue, and opalescent oval cabochon jewels. The leading and wing overlays are finished in a rich brown patina. The shade is signed on the interior rim with a small applied bronze tag "Tiffany Studios New York" and is also numbered "1495". The shade rests on a Rookwood pottery base with four panels incised with water lily design. The lily flowers are finished in white and yellow glaze with green leaves, all set against a shaded green background. The base is finished with Tiffany hardware including a three-armed spider, bronze riser, and three socket cluster. The base is signed on the underside with impressed Rookwood flame mark, dating the base to 1905. SIZE: Shade 20" dia. Lamp 24-1/2" t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent, with only a few tight hairlines in background glass panels. Base is very good to excellent. Rewired with appropriate cloth cord. 52748-6 DAB (65,000-75,000)
