MORGAN BLACK-EYED SUSAN TABLE LAMP. MORGAN B.E.S. BLACK-EYED SUSAN John Morgan & Sons table lamp has leaded glass shade with amber, tan, and yellow black-eyed susans surrounding the shade, each flower is finished with a dark red and amber chunk jewel in the center, all set against a lightly striated blue background. The shade is finished with a permanent openwork and repousse bronze cap. The shade rests on an original Morgan base with an applied leaf and stem design rising from the foot to the two socket cluster. Base is finished in a brown patina with strong green highlights. A similar example can be found in the book Mosaic Shades Vol. II, by Paul Crist, page 113. Base and shade are unsigned. SIZE: Shade 17-3/4" dia. Lamp 26-1/2" t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with a few tight hairlines, no missing glass. Base is very good to excellent with an old solder repair to stem. 52688-8 DAB (8,500-10,000)
