Serial number 28840, manufactured by Colt in 1913. All correct parts with proper inspection stamps. Early style rectangular shaped receiver opening under grips. Early shape to the recoil spring housing located on the lower front of the slide (sharper radius). Later style recoil spring plug. Correct early style safety lock. Correct early style hammer. Early recoil spring guide, with sharp legs. CONDITION: Very fine, expertly refinished with most all reapplied blue remaining. Bore is excellent, bright and clean. Action operates flawlessly.
